Kress : the complete range explained
Perimeter wire or wire-free satellite navigation? This guide helps you understand the Kress range families and pick the right robot for your garden.
Kress in 30 seconds
Kress (Positec group) splits its robotic mower range across two navigation technologies. The Mission family stays on a classic perimeter wire laid on the ground — a proven, cost-effective solution. The RTKⁿ, EyePilot RTKⁿ and EyePilot 4x4 RTKⁿ families drop the wire entirely: an onboard RTK antenna receives satellite position correction transmitted over the air, and the mowing boundary is drawn entirely in the app. EyePilot models add vision-based perception for obstacle detection, and the 4x4 range adds four-wheel drive for steep terrain (up to 84%).
Classic perimeter-wire navigation, from 1,000 to 6,500 m². Some models with OAS obstacle avoidance.
Virtual boundary via RTK antenna, no wire to bury. From 600 to 28,000 m² depending on the model.
RTK and camera perception combined, with optional integrated 4G and ZeroTrim edge-cutting. From 500 to 5,000 m².
Four-wheel drive and articulated chassis for slopes up to 84% (~40°). From 1,500 to 5,000 m².
Mission — Perimeter wire
1,000 – 6,500 m² · Perimeter wire · Up to 45% slope
The Mission range marks out its mowing zone with a perimeter wire laid during installation — a proven method independent of any satellite signal. Some models add the OAS obstacle-avoidance system, multi-zone programming and STT edge-trimming technology. From 1,000 to 6,500 m², slopes up to 45%.
RTKⁿ — Wire-free, satellite positioning
RTK600 – 28,000 m² · Wire-free · Up to 40% slope
With no wire to bury, the RTKⁿ range draws an entirely virtual mowing boundary via an onboard satellite antenna. Models suffixed ".A" or "OAS" add active obstacle detection. From 600 to 28,000 m² depending on the model, for small gardens as much as large estates.
EyePilot RTKⁿ — RTK + vision
RTK + Vision500 – 5,000 m² · RTK + camera · Optional 4G
The EyePilot RTKⁿ range adds vision-based perception to RTK navigation, with a redundant positioning architecture in case of degraded satellite signal. ES versions integrate a 4G SIM card, and several models offer ZeroTrim edge-cutting. From 500 to 5,000 m².
EyePilot 4x4 RTKⁿ — All-terrain
4×41,500 – 5,000 m² · 4-wheel drive · Up to 84% slope
The EyePilot 4x4 RTKⁿ range adds a four-motor drivetrain and an articulated chassis with independent axles, keeping all four wheels on the ground on the steepest slopes — up to 84% (~40°). From 1,500 to 5,000 m², for rugged terrain that two-wheel-drive models can't safely handle.
