LawnMaster : the OcuMow® range explained
Manual or automatic recharge? This guide helps you understand the two LawnMaster families and pick the right robot for your garden.
LawnMaster in 30 seconds
LawnMaster (Cleva group) relies on camera and ultrasonic sensor navigation combined with Optical Grass Recognition (OGR™) software — no perimeter wire to bury, no GPS/RTK antenna to install. In exchange, a clearly defined or raised lawn edge (paving, gravel, a border at least 6cm high) is needed all around the lawn so the camera can recognise the boundary — this navigation type doesn't suit gardens with sloped, poorly defined edges or overhanging plants. Two families: Drop and Mow (DM16 series, battery recharged by hand, no outdoor station) and Vision (AMB/AMD18i series, auto-charging station plugged into an outdoor outlet, some models app-connected).

Drop and Mow — Manual recharge

The Drop and Mow range (DM16) keeps things simple: the removable battery recharges wherever you like, with no outdoor charging station to install. Navigation relies on the same camera and ultrasonic sensors as the rest of the range, with the same requirement for well-defined lawn edges. From 150 to 400 m², slopes up to 35% (19°), weighing around 6.1 kg — the lightest and most affordable family in the LawnMaster range.
Vision — Auto-charging
Vision400 – 800 m² · Auto-charging · Some models app-connected
The Vision range (AMB16, AMB16i, AMD18i) runs fully automatically: a charging station plugged into an outdoor outlet handles docking and recharging on its own. Cutting width steps up to 18cm on AMD18i models, for faster mowing on larger areas. The "i" and "Plus" models add mobile app connectivity to monitor and configure mowing remotely. From 400 to 800 m².
