The Bosch VISIMOW18V-200 is a wire-free robotic lawn mower for lawns up to 200 m². Its SmartVision camera continuously detects green grass, paired with ultrasonic sensors to spot fixed obstacles such as trees, and it handles multiple distinct cutting zones, supporting slopes of up to 35%.
With no wire or GPS to configure, this model relies on the visual contrast between the lawn and its surroundings (colour, texture) as its boundary, which needs to be clearly marked or the mower can wander off the lawn. SmartVision combined with the ultrasonic sensors spots obstacles on the lawn (trees, a washing line) and automatically goes around them; when it meets an obstacle, an edge or a patch with no grass, it simply turns and keeps mowing. Temporary vertical barriers can shield a flower bed or sprinkler when needed.
Cutting height adjusts from 20 to 60 mm on a 180 mm cutting width, at a weight of 7.6 kg and a noise level of 52 dB(A). Rated IPX5, it runs on Bosch's 18V Power for All battery platform, sold here without battery or charger to fit into an existing tool collection. This Bosch robotic lawn mower suits mid-size gardens wanting a quick, low-maintenance, wire-free setup with nothing to bury or monitor.
